Australia – give GPs 16% of health budget

GPs should not have to subsidise the healthcare system from their own pocket.

Activities like : care coordination, reports, and communication with patients online are not funded properly. GPs do them because they care for patients.

Patients need close to home Primary Care practice which is proven cost efficient.

16% of the Federal Health budget should be earmarked for GPs for better outcomes and reduced costs. Though it takes years to show the outcomes we should invest now.

Increased investment in primary care worked in Oregon, it can work here.
